Join Wendy Melendez for an immersive Egyptian Saidi Dance Workshop exploring one of Egypt's most vibrant folkloric traditions.

The workshop will begin with an introduction to the history and cultural background of Saidi dance, followed by a guided warm-up, technique exercises, movement drills, and double cane training. Participants will then learn a fun choreography designed to build confidence and coordination while mastering the use of two canes.

Double canes will be provided for all participants, and no prior Saidi experience is required. We will dance barefoot, so comfortable clothing is recommended. Water fountains are available on site, and dancers are encouraged to bring a water bottle and light snack if desired.

Please plan to arrive by 9:45 AM for check-in and registration. Free parking will be available at the venue. Parents and guardians are welcome to remain in the room during the workshop.

Registration is completed through a secure Square payment link. To reserve your spot, please submit the workshop waiver and complete payment through the registration link provided on this page. Registration is not considered complete until both the waiver and payment have been received.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will receive a Certificate of Participation along with a few special surprises.
