Our Mission
Tarab Dance Academy is dedicated to creating a welcoming space where dancers can grow, build confidence, and experience the beauty and cultural richness of Oriental dance.
How Tarab started
The idea for Tarab Dance Academy began during Wendy’s first year in the Oriental dance teaching program in 2017 in Santa Fe, Argentina. From that moment, she dreamed of creating a space where she could share the beauty of Oriental dance and her deep passion for this art form.
Although Wendy was born in Utah, she grew up in Argentina, where she began teaching at a local studio at the age of 17, working with young dancers between the ages of 4 and 8. In 2022, after five years of study and training, she graduated as a certified Oriental dance teacher and professional dancer.
Two months later, she returned to Utah with the goal of building her own dance school. In August 2023, she founded Tarab Dance Academy.
Tarab is a space where students can explore movement, culture, music, and community while developing confidence and artistic expression.
Through classes, workshops, and performances, Tarab aims to share the richness of Oriental dance while creating meaningful experiences for dancers of all levels.
