Rhythms & Roots

Rhythms & Roots is a free community event celebrating art, culture, and connection through dance. Enjoy an evening of Middle Eastern and world dance blending tradition, fusion, and storytelling.

A collaboration between Tarab Dance Academy (directed by Wendy Melendez), Tinuviel and Lyra Zoe, and supported by the South Salt Lake Arts Council and Rocky Mountain Power, the event highlights cultural heritage and creative expression.

Guests can explore interactive booths like a Design Your Own Costume station, Glitter & Gem Bar, Cultural Heritage Table, and Henna & Photo Corner before and after the show.

Performances will feature Tarab Group, Movers and Shakers, Desert Goddess Dance Company, and others, along with solo artists Wendy Melendez, Lyra Zoe, Tinuviel, Nataly Uzcategui, Emily Lelecheur, Anna, Amina and more!

Join us on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 5:30–8:00 p.m. at the South Salt Lake Community Center (2531 South 400 East, South Salt Lake, UT 84115). Free parking is available in the lot next to the building, with the main entrance on the west side.

Come be part of a night that celebrates creativity, cultural exchange, and the power of movement. Whether you dance, watch, or explore!
